The Big Chill is a much awaited music festival celebrated in North East England, United Kingdom. It is held every year during early August at the grounds of Eastnor Castle. The site of Big Chill festival is a the back garden of a castle " the Eastnor Castle. The garden also has a wood, an arboretum and four lakes, and a relaxed vibe. This festival is for cool kids and happening parents. "A family event for festival lovers who have suddenly found themselves with offspring, yet not ready to give up and spend their summer in the back garden listening to the radio. The Big Chill started as a series of ambient parties but has grown into a highly visual, arty, festival known for its unusual line up and good stalls - for food and for new age-y treats. As it grows the number of stages grow too, and the variety of music expands, but it's usually set up around one large stage, and attended by a core collection of DJs each year. The festival traces its origin in 1994 by Pete Lawrence and Katrina Larkin[1]. The Big Chill began as a series of ambient parties at the Union Chapel in Islington, but developed into an outdoor festival in 1995 with an event in the Black Mountains of Wales
