This most famous garden show of United Kingdom traces its origin back in the year 1862. It was the he first Royal Horticultural Society Great Spring Show, held at the RHS garden in Kensington. In 1888, the show was shifted to the heart of London at the Temple Gardens. Nowadays, the Chelsea Flower Show is held for five days with the first two days only open to RHS members. It gathers a large number of visitors along with some renowned personalities including several members of the British Royal Family, who visit as part of the royal patronage of the RHS.
