The Coachella ia a much awaited music festival celebrated in Indio, California in U.S.A. It's a three day event held every year in third or fourth weekend of April at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. Also famous by the name of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the Coachella is organized by Goldenvoice. The main highlight of the festival are the diverse genres of music including alternative rock, hip hop, and electronic music as well as large sculptural art.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the youngest music festivals celebrated in the world. Tracing its origin in the year 1999, the Coachella has been a showcase displaying celebration of the arts in the small town of Indio, California. The event has grown manifolds since its start in 1999 by registering a whooping audience number of 180,000 as compared to initial 25,000 in its first edition. The Coachella musical gala hosts five stages across the festival grounds, namely the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theater, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent and the Sahara Tent. Based on its geographical location in Boosting if a Colorado Desert, the Coachella Music Festival has a desert setting. In order to keep each festival unique and fresh, the organizers of Coachella tend to book performers who have not appeared at the festival previously. To date, there have been only 22 individuals or artists who have played at Coachella more than twice.
