The National Finals Rodeo, is a much awaited rodeo championship organized in Las Vegas, United States. Popularly famous as World Series of Rodeo and the Super Bowl of Rodeo, the National Finals Rodeo is an annual 10 day long event. It's generally organized in the month of December with celebrations lasting throughout the first week and three days after. Various events at National Finals Rodeo include Bareback riding, Steer wrestling, Team roping etc.
The National Finals Rodeo is organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association of Las Vegas. The event has an esteemed title sponsored in the form of Wrangler Jeans and is commonly just called the National Finals or NFR. Organized in December on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas at Thomas & Mack Center, the National Finals Rodeo hosts various events. Main attractions of this festival are Bull riding, Barrel racing, Tie-down roping, Saddle bronc riding, Bareback riding, Steer wrestling and Team roping. The National Finals Rodeo traces its origin in the year 1958, when the organization started NFR. The event was started in order to determine the world champion in each of rodeo's seven main events (mentioned above) and ultimately, the first NFR was held in Dallas in 1959. This ten day rodeo competition is a perfect showcase of what a real cowboy can do.
