Ringfest is one of the most popular music festivals in Germany. Recognized as an annual outdoor music event, the Ringfest was started in the year 1993 at Cologne city of Germany. During the inauguration season in 1993, various locations of downtown Cologne stages were set up and live bands performed and also other events were presented. Since the first edition of this top German music festival, it features performances by approximately 200 bands each year.

Major Attractions

Ringfest music festival is held at the Media Park on the rings to the local Neumarkt. Live performances by renowned groups such as Brings, Fettes Brot and Caught in the Act have imparted a grand stature to this annual musical extravaganza. Since 2006 the Ringfest has not been held any longer. The organizers have justified the lack of organization with the difficulties of the music market. Ringfest is one of Germany's most awaited musical events with two and a half million spectators. The provision of free admission makes Ringfest a bound to be fun event. Various musical genres like jazz, oldies etc along with a taste of rock and pop acts make Ringfest a complete showcase of world music.
